r e - collection exists to repurpose and redefine concrete and our relationship with it.

r e - define

concrete plays an essential role in our lives. It forms our buildings, sidewalks, the infrastructure that our society is secured by. the r e - collection exists to help rewrite that narrative, to show the beauty that concrete has within. the exposed aggregate that offers concrete its strength forms an often hidden, delicate, terrazzo pattern. by cutting, grinding and polishing, the r e - collection brings the beauty out of the utility.

concrete and it’s many variables have always fascinated us. the process behind our original collection was learning how to control those variables and create pieces that were constant and flawless; perfect in colour and form, easily repeatable. this line is about embracing the variable naturally found in this product, instead of fighting against it, and learning to see the beauty within one of our most callus building materials.

r e - purpose

all of the product used in the r e - collection is reclaimed from the construction process and uses concrete cores and test cylinders that would otherwise go to waste. this makes each item one in itself, with no way to replicate its colours, patterns or shape perfectly. 

there will be variables in colour, exact sizing, aggregates, small holes, chipped edges and the presence of reinforcing steel in each of the pieces. the variables of your item will be as close to the listed item as possible, but are not something that we can control. each product has a turn around time of 2-4 weeks.
